Get on your fixed gear bicycle and ride!

I still feel that varable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear! --Henri Desgrange, L'Équipe article of 1902

The Monocog and I

Well, here is a picture of the Monocog 29er..........adorning the cheap, already bending, Redline seatpost is a Brooks Conquest saddle, a Thomson seatpost is on the way, along with a "Rasta" Chris King headset, a Salsa "Rasta" Flip-off front skewer, a Surly Tuggnut (equipped with bottle opener) chain tensioner, a Surly Torsion Bar handlebar that is 666mm wide and has 15 degrees of bend, as well as several Surly track cogs.......so much for not Blinging the bike, but then again, it's not that much bling right?

Pimpy looking bike, Dave.

It will look even pimpier with the rasta equipment.

It looks ready to shred at 24/9.
